OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

The official language of the 8th International Congress on Glaucoma Surgery is English. All participants are encouraged to join discussions, independently of their fluency in English as the exchange of ideas and critical evaluation of presentations is the main purpose of the event.

MAIN SESSIONS

All plenary sessions will be held in the Oman Auditorium.

INSTRUCTIONAL COURSES

Following the previous successful ICGS congresses, this edition will also incorporate Instructional Courses, which will run in the afternoon in parallel meeting rooms. Courses are “free of charge” for registered participants. Pre-registration is not required and attendance is possible while seats are available.

SPONSORED SYMPOSIA

Lunchtime Symposia run from 18 to 20 February and will allow Platinum Sponsors to present their latest innovations, offering delegates the chance to exchange ideas with colleagues while acknowledged leaders in the field of Glaucoma Surgery discuss their specialist subject.

SLIDE CENTRE

All meeting rooms are equipped with a computer slide projector. 

It will be not possible to use personal laptops in the meeting rooms. Speakers are kindly requested to use “PowerPoint” (Windows or Macintosh/Apple) for their presentations. The dimensions of PowerPoint presentation should not exceed 300 MB, videos included. 

Please use “.gif ” and “.jpg” extensions for images. Other types of extensions will be accepted, provided they can be recognized by PowerPoint. 

The use of pens or memory stick is advisable to download presentations, and same should be handed to technicians at the Slide Centre quite in advance. Please remember to collect your memory pen from the Slide Centre at the end of the session. 

WI-FI INTERNET CONNECTION

Free Wi-Fi Internet connection will be available in all meeting rooms and common spaces.

VIDEO LOOP

Delegates will have the opportunity to enjoy videos on innovative and educational topics regarding glaucoma surgery. Videos will be projected in loop in the Poster area on 19 and 20 February during the scientific sessions.
